Marilyn

I love Marilyn Monroe. I have many of her movies and own and read so many books about her. I can never get enough of her.

On my gift list is the book Marilyn Monroe: The Complete Last Sitting by Bert Stern. I have wanted this book for over 5 years. But I never bought it because the list price is $120. The Last Sitting photos were taken six weeks before she died.

This morning while reading my usual five newspapers on the internet, I come across the story of Lindsay Lohan recreating "The Last Sitting" with Bert Stern. Stern was the same photographer who photographed Marilyn's last sitting. Stern got Lohan in the exact same poses and duplicated the original set as Marilyn.

I thought the photos turned out well. Stern did a wonderful job of recreating the magic he had with Marilyn.
