The final two designers in the finale were
Lukas Machnik and
Jay Riordan. They had to redesign two beach houses. Both designers used white, cream and beige as color palettes. Inside of Jay's home, he used splash of colors in the room. Lukas stayed with the neutral palette more, but did have a few accessories with bold colors. After the judges walked through both houses, the winner was chosen. The first winner of American Dream Builders was Lukas Machnik.
I loved both houses. They were both fresh, beautiful and spacious. I would love to live in either one. The before and after photos of both houses were posted on the American Dream Builders website:
Lukas and
Jay.
I missed the first few episodes of ADB, but I hope this show returns next year. I loved the judges, seeing how each designer worked in specific time frame and seeing the finished work of a beautiful space.
