A few records were broken on Saturday. Bernard Lagat broke the American indoor track record for the 2-mile in 8:09.49. Both 600m women's and men's records were broken. Aylsia Montano broke the American indoor record of the 600m. Montano finished the race in 1:23.59.Erik Sowinski won the men's race in 1:15.61.Sowinski defeated a strong field that included two Olympians Duane Solomon and Nick Symmonds.
In the Wanamaker Mile, Canadian Shelia Reid won in 4:27.02 and set a national record. Coming in second was Mary Cain in 4:28.25. Cain set a new national high school record. In third place was my Oiselle teammate Kate Grace, aka K8, in 4:28.79. For the men's Wanamaker Mile, Lopez Lomong won the race in 3:51.21 over Matthew Centrowitz who finished in 3:51.34.
English Gardner of the University of Oregon won the NYH & RC Women's 60m in 7.19. Finishing in second was Jeneba Tarmoh in 7.22 and Lauryn Williams in third, 7.24. Doc Patton was the winner in the men's 60m in 6.50. Gerald Phiro was second in 6.64.

In the AT&T Women's 400m, Mary Wineberg won in 52.19 defeating Francena McCorory in 52.20.
Janay DeLoach won the women's long jump over Brittney Reese with a jump of 22-7.75. Reese's mark was 22-5.75. The United Airlines women's pole vault winner was Jenn Suhr with a height of 15-3. Inika McPherson was the winner of the John Thomas high jump with a leap of 6-1.5 over Brigetta Barrett who almost cleared the same height, but with more attempts.
