Friday, I didn't drive to Dexter to watch the University of Michigan cross country teams run in the Wolverine Open. I decided to stay at home to do work. I really didn't do work. I took a nap, ran 3 miles, ate nachos, read and watched TV. That was a productive day.
Saturday morning I went to work for an hour and a half. After work, I came home and ran 3 miles on my treadmill. Since I couldn't see Michigan lose to Appalachian State and I really didn't care about the other football games on TV, I took a nap before going to photograph a wedding reception. The couple got married earlier in the week down at the Cayman Islands and waited until they got back for the reception. The hors d'oeuvres, dinner, cake and chocolate treat were wonderful. I did feel bad for the bride. Before their first dance, one of her bridesmaids was carrying a glass of red wine. She walked around a corner and collided with the groom. The wine from her glass ended up on the bride's dress. Not just one spot. All down the front of her dress.
Sunday I watched the final day of IAAF World Championships in track and field from Osaka, Japan. I actually watched all nine days of competition on NBC and VS and it was awesome. The United States won the most medals with 26, 14 of them were gold. Russia came in second with 16 medals. The races that I was most interested in was the 1500 and 5000 meter run. Bernard Lagat from Arizona became the first man to win both the 1500 and 5000 at the World Championships. He was also the first American to ever win a medal in the 5000. Besides watching track, running 4 miles and reading, I actually did work on my computer like I wanted to all weekend. I'm designing a wedding album for a couple and I completed six pages in just over an hour. Today I want to keep working on the album and maybe finish it up tomorrow.

Oh my, I couldn't imagine! Of all things to happen on the BIG DAY! Were you still able to get some good pics of the reception?
Yes. I took most of the group photos before the start of the reception which I'm thankful for.
After the wine was spilled on her dress, I took dance photos and candids. The wine shouldn't be visible in most of the photos.
