For the past 4 years, I have run the in the Hospice of Lenawee Run, Walk and Bike Tour in Blissfield, MI. Last year I ran in the 10K instead of the 5K. I was excited to run that. I made the time to train for a 10K and I wanted to run something different.
The day of the race, it was extremely hot and humid. That made running the course a bit harder. I finished 4th in my age group at 1:11:16. When I crossed the finish line, I promised myself that I would run the 10K again in 2007.
Fast forward to 2007 and I will break my promise this year. I haven't had the extra time like last year to train for the 10K . Most of my time this year has been decided to my photo business and my full time job. I debated on whether I would even run in the race this year. But I decided that I will run the 5K.
I'll see you'll on the course, but only on the 3.1 mile one.
