FOIA, Marilyn and the FBI

I'm currently reading The Many Lives of Marilyn Monroe by Sarah Churchwell. While reading Churchwell, she had a footnote about documents. The footnote said that Marilyn Monroe's FBI papers were on the FBI's website under the Freedom of Information Privacy Act. While covering for the weekend photo tech who was on assignment, passing the time, I found the documents and started reading them. Or tried to read what was left that hasn't been blacked out with a marker.

The FBI - Freedom of Information Privacy Act website has a Famous Persons Listing, such as Frank Sinatra, JFK, John Wayne, RFK and Henry Ford. It is an interesting website, I know I will go back to it.

SOURCE: Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The document posted is from the FBI. The pages on the website (97 pages) are articles, pictures, documents about Marilyn Monroe's alleged affairs and circumstances surrounding her death.
