Luck is not on our side. For the second year in a row, my husband and I had to cancel our plans to go to Cedar Point today.
We have been watching the weather for the last couple of days and it said that the area was supposed to get severe storms throughout the day. By yesterday afternoon, we gave up on the fact of going to Sandusky, Ohio. We didn't want to be stuck in the rain. I think my husband was a bit relieved that we weren't going. He has had a cold all this week and most of last. He mentioned how fatigued he has been. Yesterday afternoon, I knew it was true when he took a longer nap then me.
After dinner last night, we were sitting on the couch watching Local on the 8s on the Weather Channel. The weather completely changed for today. All of the storms that they predicted for today, broke up or went through the area last night. The chance of severe storms was gone. The chance of rain dropped from 60% to 40%. I asked my husband if he still wanted to go. He didn't.
Another year has gone by and no trip to Cedar Point. Instead of riding roller coasters today, I will be voting the primary election (which we would have done anyway before going to Cedar Point), errands, finishing a book, running later this afternoon and whatever else comes my way.
