Coach Harbaugh

Jim Harbaugh was announced as University of Michigan head football coach on December 30, 2014.

Harbaugh was recently the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers. He lead the team to back-to-back NFL West Division titles and a spot in the 2012 Super Bowl. Harbaugh's record with the 49ers was 44-19-1. Before coaching the 49ers, Harbaugh was the coach for Stanford University Cardinal. At Stanford, his record was 29-21. Stanford won the Orange Bowl in 2011 defeating Virginia Tech 40-12.

Harbaugh played in 177 NFL games. He was drafted to Chicago Bears in the first round in the 1987 NFL draft. After Chicago, he also played for the Indianapolis Colts, Baltimore Ravens, San Diego Chargers and Carolina Panthers. Harbaugh threw for 26,288 yards and 129 touchdowns in his career that ended in 2001.

As a quarterback at the University of Michigan, 1983-1986, he lead the Wolverines to a Rose Bowl in 1987, where they were defeated by Arizona State 22-15,  and was third in the Heisman Trophy voting.

Harbaugh has had success everywhere he has coached. Hoping that the 2015 Michigan football season will be better then 2014.
