Wasted time

An assignment that should have taken an hour to an hour and a half tops, took a little bit longer. It took over two hours. That is not including the drive time in winter weather. Total time was three and a half hours. I did have plans for later in the evening, but I ended up not doing them because the assignment was so long. The person in charge of setting up the event was even getting annoyed that everything was taking so long. He said to me, "I hope you didn't have anywhere to be."
